Coop Portes-Rouges is one of the most important projects relating to the transformation of the entire north-eastern district of Neuchatel. Strategic for its location, near the railway station, and for the multifunctional programme, the project transforms and enlarges the western part of an existing building, it involves the demolition and new construction of a large portion to the east, as well as the construction of housing. The lower levels will house commercial activities, offices, warehouses and a parking. This part will serve as a podium for the construction of six residential blocks, for a total of 61 apartments. The project faces considerable design and technical challenges, creating a synergy between the different programmes.
